After being mechanically separated to form pineapple leaf fiber, it will be washed, dried and preserved. Pineapple leaf residue is harvested as organic fertilizer, returned to the farm, returned to the soil and provides nutrients back to the plants. Water after washing fibers is used for irrigation.
After that, the raw fiber will undergo a soaking process, soften the fiber with enzymes and continue to be flocculated to return to its basic state of cottonized pineapple fiber. It has superior properties and can be mixed with other fibers such as cotton, bamboo fiber, hemp, jute, polyester… to spin into yarn and use in textiles. The flocculation process is also completely mechanical, does not use water, so it does not waste resources. Dust after production is also used as a growing medium for mushrooms, ensuring a zero-waste production cycle.
Pineapple leaf fabric was then born. Because the origin and production process are completely natural, no chemicals, no waste, Ecofa products completely meet the criteria of “Responsible Production” for society, environment and economy.

Higg index
Ecofa started its self-assessment journey with Higg Index FEM 2.0 and applied FEM 3.0 to bring manufacturers, brands and retailers together in measuring impact on an industrial scale. The aim is to effectively use FEM 3.0 at all manufacturing units to create opportunities for open dialogue between supply chain partners.
Saving Water
We set criteria in the production process to require partners and Ecofa to meet the goals of saving water, zero-waste production and minimizing CO2 emissions.
Reduce CO2 emissions
In the process of producing raw fiber, Ecofa ensures zero CO2 emissions and is making efforts to improve the process and ensure reduction of CO2 emissions in textile production.
