Sustainability Strategy
A sustainability strategy that is not adaptive and accountable to our stakeholders will not stand the test of time.
The key material issues were also mapped to the UN’s SDGs (some issues relate to two SDGs). These focus areas have set the direction of our strategy to achieve goals and create value for our stakeholders.

Framework and the Scope
Just the way we conduct comprehensive research for our products, we took up a detailed Materiality Assessment exercise to come up with issues that are relevant for our internal and external stakeholders

Our 5 pillars of Sustainability

Sustainable raw material sources
Responsible Sourcing principles helps us to procure all our materials and services from sustainable and ethical sources. All material and services are procured from the sustainable sources from the most competent and high quality suppliers’ base. The key materiality issues in this pillar are wood sourcing, biodiversity and sustainable supply chains.

Responsible Manufacturing
Responsible Manufacturing is the mainstay of our entire business and this is achieved by adapting the best available technologies, applying benchmark best practices and strengthening of the closed-loop manufacturing processes. Some of the issues material to this key pillar of the strategy are closed-loop manufacturing, chemical, water and waste management, GHG reduction and transparent communication.

Sustainable Products
Sustainable Products are the outcomes when we listen to our customers and give them innovative solutions, while minimizing the negative impact on human and environment health and promote circularity. New products which are more climate change friendly or low-carbon and recycled fibres from cellulosic waste (circular economy) are the need of the hour.

Social Responsibility
Social Responsibility is a way of life and aims for inclusive growth, development and safety of the communities, our employees, our partners and the under-developed section of society who need it the most. The key issues which are associated with this pillar are occupational health & safety, talent management, gender equality, poverty, good health and wellbeing.

Valuable Partnerships
Valuable Partnerships is our endeavour to work together with our stakeholders, understand each other’s expectations and obligations and convert them into meaningful long-term partnerships for shared benefit. Partnerships with key stakeholders like customers, suppliers, shareholders, multi-stakeholder organizations and driving the agenda for more sustainable world are the issues (circular economy, reducing inequalities) to be dealt through partnerships.

Materiality Assessment
Ecofa approaches sustainability from the same scientific temper with which we approach our products.
